Although it may only be April, we all know that wedding season is fast approaching! I know that many of us find ourselves attending one wedding after another from the springtime all throughout summer and into the fall. It can be really difficult to find something cute to wear for every event, especially if you don’t want to be photographed in the same dress twice!
My number one rule when looking for something to wear to a wedding (other than the obvious do NOT wear white) is COMFORT! I know that I’m going to be eating a lot and dancing the night away, so I try to stay away from anything too short, tight, or revealing. It’s definitely possible to find something that you feel comfortable in and still feel cute at the same time.
Knowing the vibe of the wedding you’re going to is also very important. If the wedding is in a barn which seems to be all the rage lately, its safe to assume that a very casual dress will be acceptable. It can’t hurt to look up the space where the wedding and reception are being held to get a better idea of how formal it will be.
It’s also great if you can find something that you know you’ll want to wear again. Maybe you wear it once and save it for next wedding season. I picked a couple items that I have worn and can continue to use all throughout the year, whether it be a holiday party or another special event!
